The Cancer Center at Kishwaukee Hospital provides opportunities for patients and families to learn about cancer in the Resource Center. Set up by the American Cancer Society (ASC), the Resource Center has a computer with access to the extensive electronic resources on ACS’s website, www.cancer.org. The website provides patient , caregiver, and survivor resources, including information on financial, emotional, and everyday support. Visitors to the Resource Center can find information on cancer types, diagnoses, tests, treatments, clinical trials, ways to prevent cancer, and ways to get involved in the community.

In addition, the Resource Center has a library environment with trained volunteers who will be onsite to assist patients and their families in locating the information they need.
